There is disagreement about what The United Methodist Church should teach about homosexuality, same gender marriage, and the ordination of LGBTQ persons. In 2019, a special session of General Conference will be held to consider these issues and how they will be addressed by The United Methodist Church in the future.

Faultlines is a collection of resources—including small group studies and books—intended to inform the conversations around human sexuality within the United Methodist Church as the denomination prepares for the General Conference. The collection represents diverse perspectives and attempts to fill knowledge gaps around the debate, biblical foundations, theological arguments and the impact on The United Methodist Church  and her people.

The collection's titles are highlighted below in order of publication date.  Addtional resources from Abingdon Press for further reading follow.
